Portrait of a young woman26 viewsThis picture suggested to the artist the portrait of a colleague who did not wanted to be portrayed with a trunk !
Therefore the name of this woman was not disclosed at least at the time of writing.
Multiple reasons can explain the big red dot frequently used by the painter.

Ready for the Ballroom32 viewsThis young girl is ready to go for the first time to the Ballroom where she can possibly meet the beautifull officier or the smart gentleman or simply the rich who will invite her to dance more than one time... This Early XIXth Century story might be th start of a more complex affair. Nevertheless, we are here at just the begining of potentially critical point in the life of this young woman... You agree ?

BBBOriginal38 viewsThis represents the first draft of BBB that I discovered by chance on a disquette ! It is interesting to see the progression of the work. The charcoal general forms are still there on the lower part of the painting but the high part has been already accentuated by the black callygraphic lines.
The gentleman in the back will be changed. A blue blanket will be added, the bottle and the glass will disappear. The hair will also be added...

Blessing84 viewsThis is one of the Californian series now finished. However, the photographic numeric process has added a slight pink color on most of the background which fits perfectly well with the painting. Therefore I will have to add physically this slight change on this painting. During my last visit in California in 05/08 I added some more work introducing a different blue color and an additional graph in the background. I am not sure if that was correct. I will discuss that later...

The Smoker (copy of Frans Hals)69 viewsThe smoker is one of the famous portrait of the flemish painter Frans Hals 1582-1666
He had a special fast brush stroke making a portrait quite quickly a long time before the Impressionists.
Painting the hands is always the most difficult part of the human body.

The Monocle34 viewsThis is the second version of "the gentleman" which has been remastered in 2005. Note that something was missing in the first version ! Now the second eye is being represented with a monocle. Second, the collar of the jacket is now black and may represent fur. Finally the bow tie is stronger. There is no other changes.
This painting can be classified as a typical "cubism" painting.
Written in the back cardboard and back of frame "1962 CF N°2"

Atomic Bomb37 viewsI was a young boy when my late uncle came in the living room saying that the americans had exploded the first atomic bomb in Japan. I asked what was the atomic bomb and what will be the result ? It was said that this wll accelerate the end of the war... I recently read an impressive report made by the director of an hospital who miraculosly survived the explosion and described what he saw around him... Because this man was educated he was able to make a precise and highly impressive description of the state of those poor people still alive for few minutes or hours but deadly burned by the intense heat of the bomb...

The Infante looking at the city of Certaldo25 viewsThis is the latest version of this painting that I love a lot. Look at the white line which is now bordering the back of the Infante. This was already present in the previous version but now this line has been extended and increases the body from the background by the way producing a new unexpected calligraphy. However, I will work more on that when I will have a giclee of this painting.

The Infante looking at the city of Certaldo22 viewsA painting of pure imagination. A young woman of a Royal spanish family is looking out on a peaceful landscape of Toscany.
I love the atmosphere of this painting which needed heavy restauration and finally remastering, preserving the original atmosphere
I have been always impressed by the painting of drapery by highly conformist British painters such as Gainsborough, Thomas Lawrence and his master Joshua Reynolds...

Golem Legend and Norbert Wiener34 viewsIt is too long to explain all the intricacies of the golem legend reinterpretated by Norbert Wiener, the father of cybernetics.
This will be done later by connecting blogs to the site.
Let's say that the old legend of the golem is a hebraic story which took place in the city of Praha.
A very old and respected Rabin took a piece of clay to build a robot which worked instead of humans

Bringing to the people of this World49 views"Bringing to the people of this World" has been painted in a phase of unexpected exaltation when the central calligraphy was finished. on the white background. Then the idea came that the callygraphy represented my contribution to the world of painting without thinking of what will follow over the years. Therefore I am now obliged to think that this painting was a premonition of my future. It was then totally forgotten and stored in the cellar with all the other paintings. I took me some time when rediscovered to remember the history of this work; I am now very interested by the drawings around the central representation of Earth...

Gemini37 viewsThis painting was the result of a play on the paper leading to two similar forms which can evoke non identical twins.
The blue tags are not really important.
I agree to make a gicli with image processing supressing the blue tags if someone is interested !
Quality of calligrphy is fine.

Human Spirit B36 viewsThis painting is a new totally abstract calligraphy in the same style as the first which interested people from the Zen community of Santa Monica CA.
It was restaured in February 2007. The background was unchanged.

|

Supreme elegance of Violin Virtuoso21 viewsThis painting was not finished !
It was too much irregularities of the background because of multiple attempts and corrections
Therefore it was necessary to put an uniform layer of painting to restore the background leaving the calligraphy barely visible
Because of slimness the evocation can be Alexandre Zigetti

Aristocrat and Bird30 viewsThis painting is now presented in the Paris studio. Some visitors prefer to see the painting in there close environement than in the regular presentation of paintings in virtual galleries. This was the "before the last" painting of the first period.
I have discovered another painting on the back "Duckling getting out of its Egg" not yet photographied

Aristocrat and Bird34 viewsAristocrat and Bird This painting was very well preserved and no restauration was necessary. It is presented in the workshop for photography only. This is obviously a tribute to the painting style of Bernard Buffet. I like the very serious attitude of this old gentlman who is tight in his education, culture, dressing as opposed to the bird which can represent freedom !
