Femina Red 200623 viewsThis is a step to work on a very difficult background produced by a thick layer of industrial paste used to fill the holes before the application of common painting.
This form has to be drawn in this paste which is later followed by the calligraphic drawing. the background remains so irregular that there is a fight against this material. this is difficult because the calligraphy implies a stict drawing of lines. Any mistake is difficult to correct and to eliminate !

The support background is masonite uniformly covered by matt White Acrylic. The calligraphic background is made with a rough brush and acrylic. When the acrylic background has dried the painting is enhanced by glossy lines in Black and Red having generally the same movement. The resulting effect which is obvious on the painting is not so obvious on the website gallery !
The contrast between the matt background and the glossy calligraphy is frequent in my paintings

In addition it was no place for the calligraphic style. In a first step, I added the red signs in the center of the maelstrom. Then thinking of the next step it could have been simple to add more signs going to the periphery... However, as a joke I made a modification which will be for a physicist highly improbable !

I do not like this original version. The head was intentionally ridiculous and the dressing is far from the excellent quality of the calligraphic signs in the middle of the body. All of this will be modified soon....

The formation of the heart starts in the embryo from a simple tube. Later there are rotations and torsions producing the final organ which is in fact finished in its basic structure several years after birth. I was originally interested by heart embriology when I worked on the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome in the early 70s. This painting was made around 10 years before...
